GO Europa
Amazon continues to grow its capabilities across Europe, rapidly expanding their presence in new markets and launching core business initiatives like Amazon Fresh, Amazon Business and brand access to new advertising tools.

Here to help
While constantly changing, Amazon’s ecommerce marketplaces are active in 8 EU countries with the bulk of commerce taking place in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain. The estimated monthly traffic coming from these 5 key markets is approximately 176MM users*. The priority countries for many brands are Amazon.de and Amazon.uk, the two largest marketplaces, because they account for 60%+ of gross sales for Amazon EU.
In addition to our full-service brand support across retail, operations, and advertising, GO assists our brand partners as they navigate through the complex world of selling across EU and UK markets.
We are regularly asked what is needed to sell on Amazon’s EU marketplaces. Here are five initial steps a brand must take to begin selling on Amazon within Europe:
Complete VAT registration for all countries of inventory inbound and/or storage
Register for both UK and EU EORI numbers
Onboard with a customs broker in preparation for customs declaration
Determine an Importer of Record (IOR) in country of import
Obtain commodity codes and country of origin information for goods ready for export
Secure necessary licenses, certifications for exported products, nominate a responsible person (if required) for products, e.g., European Medicine Agency (EMA) approval
