Amazon Prep Fee Change - Effective October 23, 2020

Beginning October 23, 2020, Amazon has updated chargeback rates for when additional preparation is necessary to ship products to your customers.

Increased prep fee rates will be applied to bagging, set creation, boxing, and adding a suffocation warning sticker. Chargeback rates for bubble wrap and opaque bagging will decrease.

The prep chargeback for taping will be disabled, as taping will be substituted for cost-effective prep alternatives such as bagging and a cap seal to prevent liquid damage when necessary.

There will be a new chargeback for ASIN stickering, which will assess whether a scannable barcode is present and will go into effect at a later date of November 22, 2020. This will not be generated in conjunction with another prep instruction in order to help minimize the effect of this chargeback upon Vendors.

Specific rates for each prep chargeback can be found on our website. Work with your GO team to prepare for this upcoming change, and ensure that preparation for cases is properly executed in order to avoid possible chargebacks.
