Country of Origin Data Requirement for Vendor Central Brands

Brands on Vendor Central (VC) may begin seeing notices from Amazon that they must provide Country of Origin (COO) information for products to be eligible to sell on Amazon. Amazon's purpose in introducing this COO requirement is to provide proof of where VC goods come from so that they can clear customs seamlessly.

If you have received a notice, all applicable ASINS must include COO information at the individual marketplace level. If a product was manufactured in more than one country, the COO would be where the most recent “substantial transformation” of the product took place. “Substantial transformation” is defined as when raw materials lose their original identities and are reworked into an entirely new product.
