Advanced Purchase Order Reminder from Amazon Supply Chain

In order for Amazon to plan inventory for Q3/Q4 demand, you may have received Advanced Purchase Orders (POs). If you received this type of PO that has since passed its Estimated Delivery Date, Amazon may have sent you a notice which requires an update by today, Thursday, September 10 at 5 pm PST. If you have not received prior notice from Amazon, then this does not apply to you.

Vendors must update the Estimated Delivery Date to when pending units will be delivered, or the quantity of ASINs can be downconfirmed if they are unable to be shipped in full. If the quantity is downconfirmed to 0, you will still be subject to a “late downconfirm” chargeback.

If units of Advanced POs with an Estimated Delivery Date of 14 or more days ago have not been received yet, those Purchase Orders will be canceled on Friday, September 11, 2020.

Please be aware that there are major constraints on inbound shipping to Amazon Fulfillment Centers at this time, and Amazon is working towards load-balancing inbound orders.

Advanced POs made in August with September ship dates may be subject to new shipment pickup windows, roughly half a week following the originally scheduled ship date.

Reach out to your Global Overview team about maintaining accurate Estimated Delivery Dates to avoid chargebacks and canceled orders, especially as we prepare for Q4.
