FBA Product Receiving Infractions More Regularly Resulting in Penalties
In an effort to increase the efficiency and accuracy of the FBA product receiving process, Amazon is becoming more stringent about holding Sellers accountable for fulfillment violations. The infractions, however minor, are causing account suspensions and revoked shipping privileges. These infractions include:
Missing or inaccurate FBA labels placed on cartons
Individual unit barcodes (e.g., UPCs) on cartons containing multiple sellable units
Shipping units in wrapped inner packs inside the carton
All individual sellable items should be separated inside the cartons
Shipping orders in a different chronological sequence than they were created in Seller Central
Shipping different product quantities than was entered in Seller Central
Additionally, Amazon is no longer allowing the alteration of product quantities in uncompleted Seller Central shipments. Brands that want to make quantity changes can delete their current shipments and start over, though that might result in account suspension. To prevent this issue, Global Overview recommends the following:
Thoroughly check warehouse inventory and allocation before confirming shipments
Refrain from adding product, deleting product, or amending unit quantities after confirmation
Ship all FBA orders in full and in the order they were created in Seller Central
